About Anish majhi

Anish Majhi, born in a poor family, discovered his interest in painting at a very young age.  At the age of 17, he lost hearing in one ear.  In this situation he faced many challenges in his life.  As a child, he wanted to pursue a career in fine arts, so he took admission in fine arts at Visva Bharati University, Bolpur, but failed to get admission for two consecutive years.  When he could not secure admission to the BFA program at Visva Bharati University's Kala Bhavan, Anish persevered and enrolled in Visva Bharati University's silpa sadana , where he completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in ceramics and glass.  Now  he lives in Santiniketan Bolpur.

Anish has a keen interest in ceramics as well as textile design and wants to explore new horizons in this field. Anish start his career as co-founder of Fabriclay with a strong foundation and deep understanding of materials and techniques.
